Portfolio Image: Amritsar’s Golden Temple

Amritsar’s Golden Temple in northern India is the holiest place in the Sikh religion and visually spectacular – particularly just before dawn as the light changes!

Not the easiest place to take photographs as the volunteer Sikh guards who patrol the temple 24 hours a day do not allow you to use a tripod…

I took this particular image sat in a puddle of water from all the people bathing in the holy waters and with my D800 balanced on my camera bag, which was also in the puddle!
